The textile floor covering, and especially a carpet, is a wool nonwoven (1) as the base material, with yarn sections at the upper surface forming a pile (3) in structured zones. The yarn sections are secured to the wool nonwoven base by local adhesive. The yarn sections can be knitted or tufted on to a carrier material (2), which is bonded to the base (1) by adhesion or stitching. Or the yarn sections are knitted or tufted directly into the wool nonwoven base (1). The wool nonwoven base (1), as a felt material, can have a carrier layer through it with openings in the base to be filled with the pile (3), where the pile yarn sections are knitted or tufted into the carrier layer or the carrier material (2), which is bonded in place in alignment with the openings. The yarn sections are prepared gathered bundles, to be bonded by an adhesive to the woven carrier. Elements can be bonded to the under side of the wool nonwoven base (1), at the openings, for the yarn sections to be pulled up from the carrier material in tufts, leaving projections on either side to form a woven underlay as a bottom layer of the floor covering. A woven carrier layer, with wool nonwoven elements bonded to it by an adhesive or stitching, has yarn sections filling the spaces between them to form a pile (3) bonded to the woven carrier.

Ein textiler Bodenbelag, der eine erheblich größere Gestaltungsvielfalt als übliche, z.B. geknüpfte oder getuftete Bodenbelägen ermöglicht, besteht aus Wollfilz (1) als Grundmaterial, der oberseitig bereichsweise mit einen Flor (3) bildenden Garnabschnitten versehen ist. Die Sichtfläche des Bodenbelages weist deshalb sowohl Bereiche aus Wollfilz (1) als auch Bereiche aus Florware (3) auf. Der Wollfilz (1) kann sich z.B. auf einer durchgehenden Träger-schicht (4) befinden und hat dann Ausnehmungen, die mit einen Flor (3) bildenden Garnabschnitten ausgefüllt sind. Ebenso kann als Grundmaterial Wollfilz (1) mit Ausnehmungen verwendet werden, in welche von der Unterseite her Elemente eingeklebt sind, die aus einem Trägermaterial (4) bestehen in das einen Flor (3) bildende, die jeweilige Ausnehmung ausfüllende Garnabschnitte gestickt oder getuftet sind. <IMAGE>
