Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0103526A1] The invention relates to a rain garment (1) consisting of a multilayered flexible composite material (12) fitted with a membrane. The inside of said material is fully or partially lined with a lining material (13). Said lining material (13) consists of a hydrophilic or hydrophobic fabric. In the lower vertical edges, the lining material (13) is connected to the composite material (12) by the surfaces or only by the edges of the garment (1) by means of intermediate elements (21) made of a hydrophobic fabric. Said embodiment makes it possible for the humidity from the user of the garment (1) to be absorbed immediately by the lining material (13) and evacuated into the atmosphere while reliably excluding the possibility of the lining material (13) of the garment (1) being soaked by the rainwater impinging upon the composite material (12) from the outside. The intermediate elements (21) serve as a barrier reliably and effectively separating the lining material (13) from the composite material (12).
