[origin: WO0077292A1] A process for dyeing leather with reactive and acid dyes comprises pre-impregnating the leather with an aminosilane or aminosiloxane that provides additional dye sites in the collagen matrix, allowing deeper dye shades to be obtained. Treatment to polymerise or crosslink the aminosilane or aminosiloxane increases the colour fastness.
