Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1195114A1] The runner (6), for the foot of a chair, has a cladding (15) on the under side of a tough elastic material e.g. a plastics with distortion, an elastomer or rubber. It prevents a direct contact between the chair foot and the floor or floor covering. The cladding layer can be reinforced by felt, wood, fine steel, braided wire or links. The cladding covers the edges of the chair foot in a rounded profile.
