Abstract (en)
The intermediate transfer roller, in an electrostatograph machine, has a core unit (82) as a cylindrical roller core (81) with at least one pliable mantle cladding (86). A replaceable sleeve (89) can be removed from the core unit, as a continuous belt around the core unit and in close contact with it. The intermediate transfer roller, for an electrostatograph machine, has a removable sleeve with a non-pliable reinforcement cladding (85) to support a pliable cladding (87). An optional barrier layer (83) can be on the outer surface. The pliable layer around the roller core is of an elastomer material, together with a stiffening layer (88) in close contact. The sleeve carries a specification marking. An Independent claim is included for a production process, for the intermediate transfer roller, where a continuous sleeve is applied to the core unit with a close contact. Preferred Features: The sleeve is stretched over the core unit, and then relaxed to fit tightly around the core. The sleeve material has a pliable fabric layer (87) with a module of elasticity of 0.1-10.0 MPa, and a lateral stretch count of 0.2-0.5. The fabric is coated with the outer non-pliable barrier layer. The reinforcement is a strip with an inner surface roughness of ≤ 2 micrometer. The reinforcement material contains an antistatic agent.

Eine Zwischenübertragungswalze zur Verwendung in einer elektrostatografischen Maschine, in der ein tonerentwickeltes Bild von einem Bildträgerelement an die Zwischenübertragungswalze und von dort an ein Empfängermittel übertragen wird, umfassend ein Kernelement, wobei das Kernelement einen zylindrischen Walzenabschnittskern umfasst, der mit mindestens einer nachgiebigen Schicht beschichtet ist, und ein austauschbares Hülsenelement, das vom Kernelement entfernbar ist und ein endloses Band umfasst, welches das Kernelement umgibt und damit in engem Kontakt steht.
