Abstract (en)
Fixing roller has solid core, covered by elastic, deformable structure. Deformable structure has transverse expansion value of 0.2 to 0.4 to reduce differential overdrive of the fixing unit. Fixing roller has rigid, cylindrical core (21), surrounded by exchangeable cover closely fitted but not adhering to core. Roller is heated by external heat sources (40,42). Cover has base padded layer formed on strengthening band, stiffening layer surrounding base padded layer in close contact with it, toner separating layer formed on stiffening layer. Base padded layer is made of foam of transverse expansion value of 0.2 to 0.4 for overdrive control, toner release layer has more than 0.4 transverse expansion value. Roller has specification number marked on it for reading by specification detector. Independent claim of procedure to form deformable toner fixing roller.

Eine verformbare Tonerfixierwalze (20) zur Verwendung in einer Fixierstation (100, 200) eines elektrostatografischen Apparats mit einem steifen zylindrischen Kernelement (11) dass eine elastisch verformbare Struktur (15) mit Overdrivekontrolle umfasst, wobei die Tonerfixierwalze (20) so angepasst ist, dass sie von einer Wärmequelle (40,42), die außerhalb der Tonerfixierwalze (20) liegt, beheizt wird und dass die verformbare Struktur (15) mit Overdrivekontrolle eine Querdehnzahl zwischen 0,2 und 0,4 aufweist. <IMAGE>
