[origin: EP1197260A1] A device for homogenizing flowable materials comprises a homogenizer (1); and an inlet region (2) through which materials pass to reach the homogenizer. The inlet region has a current limiter (10) for controlling the flow of flowable materials into the inlet region. A device is arranged between the current limiter and the homogenizer to mix substances. Preferred Features: The current limiter has a device for actively conveying the flowable materials. The suction power of the homogenizer is higher than the flow adjusted by the current limiter into the inlet region.
