Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1197334A1] The invention relates to a jet printing system which advantageously takes advantage of a rotatable drum (30) in combination with interleaving and swathing and/or printing along a helical path over a plurality of rotations. This enables deposition of spatially adjacent drops from a fluid source (20) on a print substrate (32) non-sequentially without sudden changes in motion of the print source or substrate and can result in higher quality output. A digital filter may be used to control deflection of the droplets to be deposited. <IMAGE>
