[origin: EP1197622A2] Connecting rod lock (1) comprises a reducing gear (13) driven by a lock cylinder (10) or a key. A rotating control wheel (18) positions a connecting rod (16) synchronously to a lock (14). The wheel supports a control cam (20) to operate a lever (22) by impinging a shoulder (21). The shoulder is tilted from the activating region of the control cam. The path of the lock is controlled using the control cam. Preferred Features: The shoulder is formed by a flank of a protrusion (23) which protrudes into the moving path of the control cam.
