[origin: EP1197641A2] Operating device for fixing a camshaft of a driving motor of a vehicle, preferably a motor vehicle, in a starting position adjusts the camshaft in its starting position using forced control. Preferred Features: The camshaft is hydraulically adjusted into its starting position. The device for adjusting the camshaft has a solenoid valve (21) controlling the flow of a pressure medium, preferably hydraulic medium. A rotary slide valve of a camshaft adjuster is operated by the device.
