[origin: EP1199108A2] The jet applicator assembly, especially for coating a substrate with an adhesive, has a jet body (35) with at least one fluid channel (34) between the fluid supply and the applicator opening (50). The fluid can flow from the supply, through the channel, and out through the jet opening. The fluid channel has a number of interlinked hollow zones in a structure (52) which is fluid permeable, and extends as far as the channel outlet opening. The permeable structure is a sintered component, inserted separately into the fluid channel opening, of a sintered metal, metal foam, woven metal, and the like.
