Abstract (en)
The beam, made from composite strips (1 - 4) of reconstituted wood fibres or particles or of solid wood, assembled by gluing, has at least one inner strip or water-repellent reconstituted wood with a density in the middle of more than 500 and preferably at least 520. The reconstituted strips can be made from stumpwood, roundwood or resinous chips, but not from recycled timber, and the outer strips of the beam are preferably of solid wood. The beam can be straight, pre-flexed or curved.

La présente invention se rapporte à un matériau composite à base de bois, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué en tout ou en partie de lamelles en bois reconstitué ou recomposé, et éventuellement de lamelles en bois massif, ces lamelles (1,2,3,4,...) étant assemblées par la technique du lamellé-collé. Selon l'invention ladite poutre comporte au moins une lamelle interne en panneau aggloméré hydrofuge présentant dans sa partie médiane une densité supérieure à 500kg/m<2>, et de préférence d'au moins 520kg/m<2>. La présente invention se rapporte également à des assemblages constitués du matériau selon l'invention, et à leur utilisation. <IMAGE>
