[origin: DE10050248A1] The swirl generator (100) has an inner chamber (122) supplied by a current (141) of combustion air and into which at least one fuel (142) is fed. the end of the burner facing away from the current has a discontinuous widening of the axial cross-section in the passage to the burner -chamber (50). The burner has an injector (112) for conveying an axial central current (145) along a central burner axis (100a). The injector has adjustable elements (1122) for altering the cross-section of flow and for controlling the mass flow of the central current.

Ein aerodynamisch stabilisierter Vormischbrenner besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Drallerzeuger (100) zum Erzeugen eines verdrallten Verbrennungsluftstroms (141), und aus Mitteln zum Einbringen wenigstens einer Brennstoffmenge (142) in diesen Verbrennungsluftstrom. Weiterhin ist der Brenner vorteilhaft mit einer Vorrichtung (112) zur Einbringung einer axialen Luftströmung (145) in das Zentrum der erzeugten Drallströmung (144) versehen. Erfindungsgemäss ist diese Luftströmung steuerbar gestaltet, um somit die Lage und Intensität der flammenstabilisierenden Rückströmzone (123) an der Brennermündung zu beeinflussen. <IMAGE>
