[origin: EP1199539A1] The device has two mutually perpendicular, commonly pivotable stop rails for application to a machine table and a device for setting the pivot angle. Two circular arc angle scales enable read-off of the cutting angles for two strips to be joined with a miter joint. A computer unit derives the cut angles for the strips from their widths and required angle entered at an input and displays the angles on a display device. The device has two mutually perpendicular and commonly pivotable stop rails (3,4) for application to the machine table of a machine tool and a device for setting the pivot angle. Two circular arc angle scales (11,12) provided between the stop rails enable read-off of the cutting angles for two strips to be joined with a miter joint. A computer unit (15) derives the cut angles for the strips from their widths and required angle entered at an input and displays the angles on a display device.
