Abstract (en)
The isolated electrical conductor has a metal conductor (1), a first coating containing glass and/or mica and a second plastic coasting (6) over the first coating. The first coating consists of at least two bands (2,3) of glass and/or mica applied to the conductor, whereby the width of the strips is selected so that they overlap by at least 50 per cent. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for implementing the method of manufacturing an isolated electrical conductor that retains functionality in event of fire.

Es wird ein isolierter elektrischer Leiter mit Funktionserhalt im Brandfall beschrieben, bestehend aus einem metallischen Leiter, einer auf den Leiter aufgebrachten ersten Glas und/oder Glimmer enthaltenden Schicht und einer die erste Schicht umgebenden zweiten Kunststoffschicht, wobei die erste Schicht aus zumindest zwei längseinlaufend auf den Leiter aufgebrachten Bändern (2,3) aus Glas und/oder Glimmer besteht, deren Breite so gewählt ist, daß die Bänder (2,3) einander um mindestens 50 % überlappen. <IMAGE>
