Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0108497A1] A device for forming a strip of dough, comprising a frame (2) and two sets (21, 22) of superposed rollers (23) arranged next to each other, whereby said rollers are driven in order to create a rotating movement about the horizontal axes thereof. The rollers (23) of each set (21, 22) are rotationally mounted on a carrier (24) which can move in relation to the frame (2). The dough passes from top to bottom through a gap which remains between the two sets of rollers (21, 22) and narrows towards the bottom thereof. All of the rollers (23) belonging to a set (21 or 22) are driven in the same direction. The lower rollers (23) of a set (21, 22) are however driven more quickly than the upper rollers belonging to the same set. The carriers (24) for each of the sets (21, 22) can be moved onto each other or away from each other by means of eccentrics (36, 45). An eccentric (36, 45) is mounted on each roller carrier (24) for this purpose. Said eccentric is driven in a rotational direction counter to the direction in which the dough passes. Each roller carrier (24) is mounted on top of another eccentric (36, 45) or connecting rod (51) in a position which is higher than or lower than said eccentric (36, 45). Said other eccentric (36, 45) or connecting rod (51) can be rotationally or pivotally mounted on the frame. As a result, the dough can be shaped into a desired form in a more sparing manner.
