[origin: WO0106153A1] The invention concerns an annular elastic sealing lining (7) comprising a coil spring in acting as a return spring (11) to press its contact surface (9) against the sealing surface (10) of an element to be sealed, in particular a cylindrical lining for a ball joint (1) to seal the spherical swivel joint (5) and/or the housing of the ball joint (2). The invention is characterised in that it consists in placing in the spherical swivel joint (5) and/or the ball joint housing (2), the surface contact (9) on one or both sides of the virtual median plane (19) positioned by the return spring (11) and whereof the internal diameter (17) is smaller than the internal diameter (18) of the return spring (11).
