[origin: WO0109987A1] The invention relates to a coupling for conductor bars. Said coupling (1) has a middle unit (2) which has two pivoting parts (13, 14) that pivot in relation to each other. A fixing device (3, 4) for a conductor bar (5) is provided on each of these pivoting parts (13, 14). Said fixing devices (3, 4) are provided with electrical connectors (15) for connecting to the conductor bars (5) to be placed on the fixing devices (3, 4). The individual connectors (15) belonging to the fixing devices (3, 4) are in the form of electroconductive rods which extend from the fixing devices (3, 4) into the inside of the pivoting parts of the middle unit (2). A conductor of one fixing device (3) rests slidingly on a conductor of the other fixing device (4), respectively. The connectors preferably each have a ring at their inner ends, a ring of one connector resting slidingly on a ring of another conductor respectively.
