Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1201429A2] The web of material (5) moved along a path wraps round part of the cooling roller in front of, or after, which is a cooling or deflector roller part of which is enclosed by the web of material. The cooling roller (8,9,13,15-17,19-23) has an outer casing defining a hollow cavity through which flows coolant, especially cooled water. A first (7) and second (12) conditioning unit comprise silicon applicator rollers on either side of the web of material. Fresh air is blown into the dryer (2). Sensors (28,29) belong to a web-tension meter (26,27) for detecting fractures in the web .
