Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0073401A1] The present invention pertains to the production of high-octane components for engine fuels and to that of aromatic hydrocarbons and hydrogen using the petrol fractions from crude oil and gas condensates as well as C1-C4 hydrocarbon gases. This invention can be used in the gas and petroleum processing industries. The purpose of the invention is to increase the process efficiency by increasing the production of the high-octane component up to 95-98 wt % relative to the amount of the petrol fraction to be processed. This invention also substantially reduces the conversion of the starting raw material into light and low-value hydrocarbon gases. The petrol fractions are processed in typical conditions of catalytic reforming. The products are separated into gaseous products (hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbon gases) and into high-octane liquid products. The gaseous products are supplied for separation into an aromatic-hydrocarbon hydrogenation area where the hydrogen is bound by transferring it into the composition of the cyclohexane-type hydrocarbons thus formed followed by the separation from the C1-C4 hydrocarbon gases. The C1-C4 hydrocarbon gases are continuously recirculated from the hydrogenation area to the reforming area and further supplied back, the hydrogen concentration and the pressure remain constant and said gases are never let out of the process. The cyclohexane hydrocarbons are supplied into a catalytic dehydrogenation reactor for producing pure hydrogen which is extracted from the process as a finished product and for producing aromatic hydrocarbons which are supplied back into the hydrogenation reactor where they are mixed with the reforming gaseous products.
