[origin: EP1201799A1] An open-ended textile spinning assembly has a rotor housing and floating seal disc (2). The essentially shallow tub seal has especially a support plate (10) with a drill hole (4) surrounded by a sealing edge (11) which works with the disc (2). The disc (2) is held against the support plate (10) by an elastic element (3), and supported vertically by an end-stop (5) rim. The support is formed by a projection (32) from the elastic element (3) engaging in a cut-out (21) in the sealing disc. The support plate (10) operates with a counter disc (6) to hold an open-ended spinning assembly, anchoring the seal within the rotor housing.
