The vehicle headlamp has a light source and reflector, a lens and a two-shade arrangement. A pivoting element has a rotation axis essentially parallel to the shade axles and is arranged between the shade axles in the horizontal direction. The pivot element is coupled to the shade axles. Pivoting the pivot element moves one shade axle from a raised/lowered position to a lowered/raised position and the other shade axle in the opposite direction. The vehicle headlamp has a light source (30) and reflector (1), a lens and a shade arrangement with two optically closely spaced vertically adjustable shades (3,4). A rotatably mounted pivoting element (20) has a rotation axis (21) essentially parallel to the shade axles (6) and is arranged between the shade axles in the horizontal direction. The pivot element is coupled to the shade axles. Pivoting the pivot element moves one shade axle from a raised/lowered position to a lowered/raised position and the other shade axle in the opposite direction.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Fahrzeugscheinwerfer mit einer Lichtquelle (30), einem Reflektor (1), einer Linse (16) und einer zwischen dem Reflektor und der Linse befindlichen Blendenanordnung (100) aus zwei zwischen jeweils zwei definierten Positionen höhenverstellbaren Blenden (3, 4). Die Blenden sind um Blendenachsen (6, 6a) drehbar, wobei in einer definierten, angehobenen Position der ersten Blende deren obere Blendenkante mit optisch wirksamen Bereichen oberhalb der Blendenkante der zweiten Blende und in einer angehobenen, definierten Position der zweiten Blende deren obere Blendenkante mit wesentlichen Bereichen oberhalb der Blendenkante der ersten Blende liegt. Weiters ist ein um eine Drehachse (21) drehbar gelagertes Schwenkelement (20) vorgesehen, welches mit den Blendenachsen gekoppelt ist, und bei Verschwenken des Schwenkelementes ist die eine Blendenachse (6) aus einer angehobenen in eine abgesenkte Position und die andere Blendenachse (6a) aus einer abgesenkten in eine angehobene Position bewegbar. <IMAGE>
