Abstract (en)
A waste material incineration process comprising a) supplying waste material to a first combustion chamber (13, 113) b) heating the waste material in the first combustion chamber (13, 113) to cause thermal decomposition of the waste material, and c) burning, in a second combustion chamber (18, 118), any inflammable gas or gases produced by the thermal decomposition; characterised in that d) at least some of the heat produced during the burning of said gas or gases is used to heat the waste material in the first combustion chamber (13, 113). <IMAGE>
