Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1202124A2] The device has a motor, a drive element for engagement with the received element (S), a drive coupling (108), a sensor (160a), a timer for determining the time in which the received element's leading edge is detected as outside the normal time window and a controller for driving the motor to control the movement of the received element taking the time into account so the element is fed to the image bearing element at the correct time and speed. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of moving a receiver element for accurate alignment with a moving image-carrying element.
