[origin: WO0113052A1] The invention relates to an ice generator for the production of an aqueous ice-crystal suspension. The inventive ice generator consists of a heat exchanger with several pipes (2) for an aqueous refrigerating agent, whereby said pipes extend side by side inside a container for said refrigerating agent in an approximately straight line. The inventive device is also provided with a mechanism for removing ice deposits from the inner walls of the pipes (2). The mechanism is fitted with wiper devices (1), which extend into the pipes (2), and a drive unit (9) for said wiper devices. According to the invention, the wiper devices are made up of interconnected wiper elements along the axes of the pipes, whereby the circumference thereof corresponds in a substantial manner to the inner circumference of the pipes (2), and a passage is provided for the cooling agent. The wiper devices (1) are connected to the drive unit (9) which enables them to create a recurrent lifting movement along the axes of the pipes.
