Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0111619A1] The invention concerns devices designed for parallel magneto-optical reading of magnetic tracks (101) of a multitrack magnetic tape (102). It consists in compensating the movement of the active part (104) of said head caused by wear. To achieve this, by means of a plate with rotary planar surfaces (112) the incident reading beam (105) directed on the magneto-optical head proper (103) is deflected. To correct the displacement of the reflected reverse beam (106) caused by the movements of the incident beam and maintain said beam of the sensing bar (107) of the device, a second rotary plate (109) with parallel planar faces is used. Said second plate will preferably be used to compensate the looping movements of the magnetic tape. It enables to increase the life span of such a device.
