[origin: WO0111948A1] The invention relates to a gear assembly that is designed for a roll-up leash for dogs. Said gear assembly has a reverse blocking mechanism which is provided with a pinion (3) that engages with a gearwheel (2). The pinion (3) has an axle (4) which is rotatably mounted in a guidance (6) which extends in an at least approximately coaxial manner in relation to a rotational axle (5) of the gearwheel (2). The guidance pertains to the housing (1). The pinion (3) or a catch (7) attached thereto rests against a stopper (8) when the axle (4) is in an end position. The stopper is fixed to the housing. The pinion (3) is held in a freely rotatable manner when the axle (4) is displaced in the opposite position.
