[origin: WO0112040A2] Accordingly, it is a general object of the present invention to provide improved system for providing fresh brewed coffee on demand by a consumer, in a wide range of variety and strength. It is a further object of the present invention to provide brewing system for making relatively large quantities of fresh brewed coffee beverages, in particular variety and/or strengths as chosen by consumers just prior to consumption. Said system is easy to use, and requires only a small amount of personal attention. It is another object of the present invention to provide such brewing apparatus which is particularly useful for providing coffee according to individual consumer selection, but in large, commercial or institutional quantities. A general object of the present invention is to provide a beverage brewing apparatus which immediately provides selective dilution (based on individual consumer's selections) of a brewed beverage concentrate after the concentrate has been allowed to brew. A further general object of the present invention is to provide a novel apparatus of the above described type which a desired ratio between the amounts or flows of brewing water and dilution water may be achieved. Another object of the present invention is to provide a beverage brewing apparatus which provides dilution of a brewed concentrate prior to being disposed in a common decanter.
