[origin: WO0180746A1] The invention relates to a method and device for attaching and/or joining tissues or tissue-like materials to a support by suturing and by using a suturing material. The aim of the invention is to develop a method and device with which the drawbacks of the prior art can be avoided and with which a reliable and, if required, liquid or gas tight attachment/joining between tissues of all types and an appropriate support, particularly also provided in the form of cartilage, bone, hard and soft tissue, is duly guaranteed. To this end, the invention provides that the tissue to be attached and/or joined is placed on the support, a first opening is made through the tissue, which is to be attached and/or joined, and is made in the support, and the suturing material such as a suture is inserted into said opening. The suture is fixed inside the opening and is tensioned by moving the device in the direction of suturing up to another attachment and/or joining position. Analogous to the preceding steps, additional openings are made, and the suture is inserted, fixed and tensioned each time until the desired attachment and/or joining or suture length is attained.
