[origin: WO0192066A1] The protective functions of all devices required for passenger protection are kept in a state of high availability by the inventive circuit arrangement which comprises several series-connected dual-layer capacitors (C1, C2, C3, C4) and an electrolyte capacitor (EL) whose charge is provided by the dual-layer capacitors(C1, C2, C3, C4) which exhibit a higher capacity but have a lower nominal voltage than the electrolyte capacitor (EL). The electrolyte capacitor (E1) exclusively supplies the ignition voltage (UZ) which is required for the final ignition stage (ZE1,, Zen) of the protection devices.
