Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19939710A1] The invention relates to connecting bars (1; 4; 7; 13; 31; 43) for electrical appliances and devices, for different nominal currents. Said connecting bars are configured in such a way that they are hollow. The connecting bars can have one or more cavities (2; 5; 8; 18-20; 24-36; 32). According to the invention, the connecting bars (1; 4; 7; 13; 31; 43) have the same outer cross-section for all current intensities but have different wall thicknesses for different current intensities, and therefore differently sized cavities (2; 5; 8; 18-20; 24-26; 32). The connecting bar feed-through openings into the respective switched housings of a type series can therefore all be configured identically, according to the dimensions for the connecting bars with the maximum current intensity.
