[origin: EP1205255A1] The dispensing pump consists of a housing (1) designed to be fixed to a container, an air vent (38), a push-button (3), a valve and a piston (30) forming a variable-volume pumping chamber (34) connected to an outlet (5) via the dispensing tube (10) attached to the push-button. The push-button has a sealing skirt (6) extending to cover at least part of the dispensing tube's height and forming a seal with the pump housing when the push-button is depressed to isolate the air vent from the outside air.
