Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren sowie eine Vorrichtung zum Transport von Gittermastkranen einschließlich Gegengewichte, bei dem bei Straßentransporten unter Ausnutzung der maximalen Tragfähigkeit von Tiefladern sowie der vorgeschriebenen Ladehöhe und Ladebreite die Anzahl der erforderlichen Tieflader zu gering wie möglich ist und bei Seetransporten ein kostengünstiges spezifisches Gewicht angestrebt wird. Dabei werden die Gittermastelemente (1) des Auslegers für den Transport von Gegengewichtselemente (8) genutzt. Hierzu ist mindestens ein Gegengewichtselement (8) im oder am jeweiligen Gittermastelement (1) lagegesichtert befestigbar. <IMAGE>
