A plural head type capping apparatus A comprises a moving body, a plurality of rotationally tightening means 2 provided on the moving body 1, restricting means 12 for applying a predetermined rotationally tightening torque, when the cap c is rotationally tightened, to each of the rotationally tightening means 2, detection means 15 provided on each restricting means 12 for detecting a rotationally tightening detection value in each of the rotationally tightening means 2, radio transmitting means 16 connected to each detection means 15 for sending the detected value, receiving means 18 provided outside of the moving body 1 for receiving the detection value from the radio transmitting means 16, and control means 19 for managing the rotationally tightening operation of a capping operation based on the detection value, whereby, when the cap c is rotationally tightened around the opening of the container b, the cap c is capped with an appropriate torque, and the progressing state of the rotationally tightening operation can be easily and reliably managed. <IMAGE>
