The machine for the prodn. of paper or cardboard has at least two water extraction zones (I, II), in the direction of web travel. They each exert an increasing pressure from the start to the end (p1,p3;p2,p4) on both sides of the web. The start pressure (p3) at the second zone (II) is lower than the final pressure (p2) of the first zone (I).

Eine Maschine zur Herstellung einer Faserstoffbahn, insbesondere Papier- und/oder Kartonbahn, umfasst wenigstens eine Schuhpresse mit einem in Bahnlaufrichtung verlängerten Pressspalt, durch den die Faserstoffbahn geführt ist. Dabei ist der maximale Druck in dem Pressspalt der in Bahnlaufrichtung betrachtet ersten Schuhpresse kleiner oder gleich etwa 15 bar. <IMAGE>
