The window (1) or door for installation into a building wall (8) comprises a frame (2) which is installable into a wall opening (10), is provided with a glazing unit (20) attached to the frame, and has a thickness (3) at least approximately equal to that of the building wall. Also claimed is an arrangement consisting of a building wall or a roof with the proposed window or door.

Um eine gute Wärmeisolation und eine einfache und kostengünstige Einbaubarkeit zu gewährleisten sowie eine verbesserter Schallisolation verfügbar zu machen ist ein Fenster (1, 101, 301) oder eine Tür (401) für den Einbau in einer Gebäudewandung (8, 308), insbesondere in einer Wand (8) oder einem Dach (308) vorgesehen, definierend eine Vorderseite (4b) und eine Rückseite (4c), welche an einer ersten bzw. einer zweiten Seite (8b, 8c) der Gebäudewandung (8, 308) anordenbar sind, das Fenster (1, 101, 301) oder die Tür (401) umfassend einen Rahmen (2, 82), welcher in eine Gebäudeöffnung (10, 310) in der Gebäudewandung einbaubar ist, zumindest eine Scheibenanordnung (20, 21, 420), welche an dem Rahmen (2, 82) befestigbar ist, wobei der Rahmen (2, 82) im wesentlichen zumindest dieselbe Stärke (3) wie die Gebäudewandung (8, 82) aufweist. <IMAGE>
