Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1205959A2] The color image tube has an electron beam generation system (12) and a light screen (10) inside the tube and a deflection unit (13-16) and correction magnets (17a,17b) mounted outside the tube. At least one compensation coil (18a, 18b) mounted externally with respect to the tube and driven by vertical or horizontal compensation current corrects the imaging geometry in the horizontal or vertical direction.
