[origin: WO0110569A1] This invention relates to the tempering of coatings in order to influence the workability of coatings in an applicator. In order to improve the cleaning process, an intermediary container which contains coating material is provided with connections enabling it to be connected to the coating applicator feed cycle, whereby the intermediary container (5) can be heated or cooled. The cleaning of the system, including the intermediary container, occurs in alternating cycles.
