[origin: EP1207340A2] The ignition system performs an automatic check of the control system and checks ignition of the pilot burner and the main burner. The sequence starts with production of an electric spark to ignite the pilot burner. The first phase involves setting the gas flow control to minimum, with lean gas-air mixture. Different target values for the mixture are set as the ignition sequence proceeds.
