The boot for skiing and snowboarding has a support shell (17) mounted on the rear of the leg (15) which can pivot about an axis at right angles to the leg. This is connected to the sole (11) or a loop (19) mounted on it, so that forces on the shell are transmitted to the sole and vice-versa

Ski- oder Snowboardstiefel (10) bestehend aus Sohle (11), Schale (14) und Schaft (15), wobei der Schaft (15) eine rückseitig am Unterschenkel anliegende, im Knöchelbereich um eine sich etwa parallel zur Sohle (11) und etwa senkrecht zu deren Längsachse erstreckende Querachse (16) verschwenkbar gelagerte Stützschale (17) umfaßt. Die Stützschale (17) ist mit der Vordersohle (12) des Stiefels (10) derart gekoppelt, daß eine auf die Stützschale (17) einwirkende Kraft bzw. ein auf die Stützschale (17) einwirkendes Drehmoment im wesentlichen unmittelbar in die Vordersohle (12) bzw. umgekehrt eingeleitet wird. <IMAGE>
