Slide gate comprises a slide plate (1) for pre-heating in a guide (3) made from ceramic material; and pre-heating surfaces (7, 8) arranged next to the tap hole (5). The surfaces are able to move in pre-heating positions (7a, 8a) in which each surface can be heated. Preferred Features: The guide is connected as a ceramic frame (9) to a metal housing (10). The pre-heating surfaces are formed next to the tap hole left and right of the pre-heating surfaces. The slide plate is made from a special ceramic, especially zirconium oxide stabilized with CaO/MgO or Y2O3. The walls of the metal housing are cooled with water.

Ein Schieberverschluss für metallurgische Gefäße, Öfen u. dgl., mit einer Schieberplatte (1) aus hitzebeständigem Werkstoff, die mittels eines Linear-Antriebs (2) in einer Führung (3) in Offenstellung oder in Schließstellung bewegbar ist, dient der Aufgabe, ohne Nachteile für die Haltbarkeit zu erleiden, für kurze schnelle Vorheizung bei hohem Wärme-Strom oder für eine langsame Vorheizung geeignet zu sein, was dahingehend gelöst wird, dass die Schieberplatte (1) zum Vorheizen in einer Führung (3) aus Keramikwerkstoffen geführt ist und dass neben dem Abstichloch (5) Vorheizflächen (7; 8) angeordnet sind, die wechselweise in Vorheizstellungen (7a; 8a) verfahrbar sind, in denen die Vorheizflächen jeweils beheizbar sind. <IMAGE>
