A pivoting shaft (12) coupled to a blade coater (8) adjusts the blade coater for determining a thickness of a glue film (7) transferred to the back (3) of a book block (2) back submerged in a tub. The pivoting shaft is operatively connected to a drive rod of a controllable linear electric motor (17). An application roller transfers the glue to the back of the book block.

Ein vorgeschlagenes Leimwerk (1) zum Auftragen von in einer Wanne (6) aufbereitetem Klebstoff (5) auf den Rücken eines in einer Fördereinrichtung vorbeigeführten Buchblocks (2), besteht aus einer Klebstoff der Wanne (6) entnehmenden Auftragswalze (4), und einem den auf den Rücken des Buchblocks (2) zu übertragenden Klebstofffilm dosierenden, durch ein Betätigungsorgan mit einem Antriebsorgan (18) eines steuerbaren Elektromotors (17) antriebsverbundenen Rakel (8). <IMAGE>
