Traction vehicle comprises at least one truck (1) having an even number of traction motors (7) arranged on a support (5) perpendicular to the direction of travel, at least two power converters supplying electricity to the traction motors, and electrical devices counterbalancing the pendulum moment reaction forces of the traction motors on the truck. Preferred Features: The traction motors of a truck have time-displaced drives. The fixing points (6) of the traction motors are arranged on at least one support so that they lie behind one another in the direction of travel.
