The method for producing flip-top cigarette packs wrapped in film with a tear-strip (12) uses a continuous tape (18) of tear-strip material with precisely positioned printing or marks (24). A sensor (26) detects these and controls the placing of the strip on a continuous band (13) of film or on sections (11) cut from it. Bei der Fertigung von Packungen mit Außenumhüllungen, die einen Aufreißstreifen (12) aufweisen, sind diese bzw. fortlaufende Materialstreifen (18) zum Abtrennen der Aufreißstreifen (12) mit Bedruckungen, Markierungen (24) etc. versehen. Vorzugsweise sind außerdem die Folienbahnen (13) mit Markierungen, Bedruckungen bzw. Druckmarken (25) versehen. Mit Hilfe von Tastorganen wird die Relativstellung aufgrund dieser Bedruckungen erkannt und danach der Antrieb der Folienbahn (13) und/oder des Materialstreifens (18) gesteuert. <IMAGE>
