[origin: DE10058159A1] The facing construction for a building has a separating element with low heat conductivity located between two adjoining facing elements. The separating element is formed by a wood or plastic support beam (1) and the facing elements are rectangular panels (3) with double glazing. The support beams have a rectangular cross section with an outer face (4) facing out from the building and an inner face (5) facing into it. The facing elements are installed on the side faces (6) of the beams.
