[origin: EP1209302A2] Paneling system comprises panels connected to each other and made of strong material such as metal or plastic. On the rear side (2) of each panel facing away from the panel skin at a distance from the side edge (3) of the panel is arranged a clamping bar (6) protruding from the panel. The clamping bar of an adjoining second panel is clamped using a screw (8). A spacer part (10) is provided between opposite lying clamping bars of both panels in the region of their ends which face away from the panels. Preferred Features: The clamping bars are formed as plates and are positioned at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the side walls of the panels.
