[origin: EP1209359A2] Gear pump comprises a pair of rotating gear wheels (16, 18) arranged in a pump chamber of a housing (10, 12) which convey fuel from an intake chamber along conveying channels formed between the peripheries of the gear wheels and peripheral walls of the pump chamber into a pressure chamber. One of the gear wheels (16) has a bore (32) and is fixed to the drive shaft (22) rotatably positioned in the housing. At least one radially elastic connecting element (40) is arranged on the drive shaft and presses into the bore of the gear wheel. Preferred Features: The connecting element is a corrugated sleeve preferably made of metal. The gear wheel (16) is made of sintered metal, especially sintered steel.
