[origin: EP1209419A2] Cleaning system comprises an inner chamber (14) having a door (16) and heated by a heating device (76, 78), devices (22, 30, 38, 48, 50) feeding and circulating fluid in the inner chamber and removing fluid from the inner chamber, and a control device (64) coupled to the devices to control a cleaning cycle. At least one holder (52, 58) is provided for a thermally and/or chemically activated cleaning agent cartridge (56) releasing cleaning agent. The cleaning agent is released extensively residue-free up to the end of a cleaning cycle. Independent claims are also included for a cartridge for the cleaning system, a kit consisting of at least one cleaning agent cartridge, and a method for cleaning the inner chamber of an oven.
