[origin: DE10057687A1] A face plate for screening a plasma display panel (PDP) has a grid-shaped electrically-conducting structure (5). At least one face of the face plate (4) has a lens matrix formed from convex lenses (6). The opposite facing sides of the face plate (4), in each case, has a matrix formed from convex lens (6), such that a lens matrix is formed from biconvex lenses.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Frontscheibe zur Abschirmung eines Plasma-Flachbildschirms mit einer gitterartigen elektrisch leitenden Struktur. Zur Verbesserung der Abschirmung sowie der Bildqualität ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß zumindest eine Seite der Frontscheibe eine aus konvexen Linsen gebildete Linsenmatrix aufweist. <IMAGE>
