Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2798294A1] The invention concerns a method for making bone grafts, while preserving the bone natural structure, in particular in type 1 collagen, which consists in submitting natural bone material, in particular that of appropriately cut human femoral heads, to a defatting and purifying treatment comprising at least an acetone-extracting step, advantageously preceded by a step of sensitizing with pressurised water, and advantageously followed by an extraction step using urea, so as to eliminate all contaminating agents, in particular viruses whereof the presence is likely to be present in transmissible form especially in human tissues, such as those of hepatitis, poliomyelitis, aids (HIV), and non-conventional agents such as prions of the Creutzfelt-Jakob disease or related spongiform encephalopathic diseases.
